My name is D. J. Patterson. Born in Kingston, Jamaica and attended Convent of Mercy Academy (Alpha). After finishing high school, I migrated to the U.S. (New York City). Thinking I would eventually become a doctor, I engaged in pre-med studies and earned a BA in Psychology. Of course, like most people, med school was not possible financially. So, still wanting to be in the health field, I went on to graduate school and gained a Masters of Public Health.
I believe in the goodness of people. Love nothing more than being Jamaican. Although, I am able to explore other cultures and groups.
Food: Jamaican and Indian. (I've been a vegetarian for over 15 years now and have perfected making ackee without saltfish!)
Music: Marley, Tosh, anything Reggae, Roots & Ska. Also - French music.
Hobbies: Reading, music and so much more.
Interests: Six years of French and I am still trying to be fluent but it will happen.
Goals: 1. Trying to stop saying what's on my mind without thinking it through beforehand. However honest it may be, sometimes people just seem to get ticked off! I just can't stop talking! 2. Do good always and have fun at the same time!
