The Cuban light bulb scandal took the nation by storm but I never expected the Jamaican authorities/government to move so quickly on prosecuting those they believed were responsible. Is the arrest of Mr. Kearn and his associates a sign of things to come with future misuse of government power and corruption? Yesterday super delegate Georgia Rep. John Lewis switched from Hillary to Obama. His reasoning was that most of his constituents voted for him. While watching CNN yesterday I saw another super delegate mention something about being pressured. I don’t recall this gentleman’s name.
Word is that many people in the New York constituents of Rep. Yvette Clarke, who is of Jamaican Heritage, did the same and now expect her to switch. I guess we will see how this drama plays out…will she be the next switch…

I can’t believe I am doing this, but I am going to admit that I am afraid of frogs. I hate them with a passion. I remember coming home late one night from a party to be met by a frog at the front door. I was not about be intimidated by him so I threw stones at my parent’ window (no cell phones back then) to get them to scare it away from the front door. Yes I was a big man…lol.
Yesterday I read about the devil frog called Beelzebufo. The name, Beelzebufo ampinga, came from Beelzebub, the Greek for devil, and bufo: the Latin word for toad. It sent chills up my spine even thinking of living in a time with a creature like this around.

The intensity of this political season has never been so personal for people of color. Last Friday I went to lunch with a friend. We were talking politics and she mentioned that if Hillary won the nomination she would vote for McCain. A lady who was sitting in the booth behind us could not hold her tongue anymore. She said she would also vote for McCain before voting for Hillary. Both said they hated her love of power but they were especially mad at what she and her husband did in South Carolina. Especially the comments on Jesse Jackson. There are 2 women who are registered Democrats and in the demographic that Hillary Clinton is suppose to attract…this election season is going to be pretty interesting…
It seems everywhere online there is something new on Barack Obama. The video above has been out for a while but it has become more “viral” than any other message I have seen. I have gotten this multiple times from friends. For the past 3 months everyday friends and press people send me information on Barack Obama. It reminds me of how the JLP had so much information online leading up to the election in Jamaica.
