Published May 30, 2002Jamaica is the largest English speaking Caribbean island. It is the third largest island in the West Indies. It is 90 miles south of Cuba and is just a little smaller that the state of Connecticut.

Highest Mountain: 7402 feet.
Jamaica's geography features mountains, waterfalls, rivers, forests, plains, caves, bays, beaches. The Jamaican landscape varies from Mountains inland to beautiful beaches on the coast. Mountains cover more than half of the island. The beaches are 200 miles across the coastline of Jamaica. Jamaica is in a tropical location with high humidity. The temperature is normally 80-90degrees. It is cool in the mountains during winter
