I grew up listening to reggae music because my dad was a true-blue hippy and he was stuck in the 70s, his salad days when activism was anything but violent and everybody was wearing hip ponchos, cool bell-bottoms and tie-dyed shirts. My father was a happy-go-lucky man, living a life of no worries and no stress. Don't get me wrong, he was responsible and he worked really hard to provide for our family. We had a house, comfortable clothes, good food and we all went to good schools. He was always there for us, attending ballgames, dance recitals, and was always present in parent-teacher conferences. We all looked up to him because he was the epitome of cool, always in control of his emotions and always remained calm under any given circumstances. And he took good care of us despite his busy schedule and his night-outs with his friends. After I write my custom essay for school, he always spends time with us and reads stories to us before we go to bed even if he was exhausted after a hard day's work.
And so we all lived with a positive outlook and perspective about life. I took to heart the inspirational messages from Bob Marley's epic songs that promotes peace and love for everyone. Three Little Birds was and will always be my favourite song because that's how I live my life, no worries because I know that everything will be all right. When I am facing adversaries and challenges in my daily life, I don't fret and worry my life away; I just face my problems head-on and ride out the deluge. And everything works out fine in the end.
Despite of a life with no worries, I am still deeply troubled for the marginalized and underprivileged people around the world, especially children who are suffering from wars and strife since time immemorial. We have to stop all the hate, violence and bloodshed that we relentlessly spew against each other. As Bob Marley has ingrained upon my mind since my childhood days, we need to stand up for our right and we need to do it now more than ever. And so when I am not contributing to essay writing services or studying for exams for school, I dedicate and devote my extra time in helping those in need. I volunteer for Red Cross and UNICEF because I know that every little thing and even the smallest acts of kindness can make all the difference in the world. We all have one love and one heart and we should all join hands to emancipate ourselves from the harsh realities of life.
