Hi. I am Jazz Johnson and
as the name suggests, I’m as smooth as Jazz if you know what I mean.
I am a Jamaican born & bred. I grew up in the beautiful hills
of Mandeville, Manchester where, I attended Bishop Gibson High School
for the beautiful and intelligent. I was a tender and meek sixteen-year-old
when I moved to the Big, Bad City of Kingston. Once in Kingston,
the sky was the limit and more. I did my A-levels at EXED and then
attended C.A.S.T where I majored in Business Management and took
options in Marketing. I participated in many extra curricular activities
while in college such as party, party, and party!
I spread my wings a little and did some travelling
around Europe and after College I lived in Germany for a while.
I was on my way home to Jamaica after one long wandering journey
( long story!) when I somehow forgot the directions, got lost and
ended up in Baltimore, Maryland. This is where I’ve resided since
1994. I am currently employed as a Regional Manager for the world’s
largest deliverer of computer based testing, and am sort of a self-taught
techie. Thankyouverymuch (Elvis Voice)
The pride & joy of my life is my beautiful
daughter who lights up like a morning star every time I look at
her.
Most of my immediate family (Mother & Father,
bothers & sisters) still live in Jamaica, so my visits to Jamaica
are quite frequent, and for good reason. I try to visit as often
as I can so I can remain in good standing when my parents write
their wills (I could stand to collect millions… NOT). I love to
laugh, love to eat and I love Jamaica & my Jamaicans bad, bad.
Oh, did I mention I love to eat… Oh Yes I did, but just in case
you forgot, I’ll say it again- I love to eat!
FAVOURITE FOOD: Stew peas and rice but running
a close second is Ox-tail… I have not found any other cuisine that
can tickle my palate the way Jamaican food can.
FAVOURITE BEVERAGE: D&G – Kola Champagne (I
guess Bailey’s doesn’t count as a beverage right?)
INTERESTS: My daughter (she’s so fascinating),
Reading, Motorcycling, Eating, Cooking, Music (vocal & Instrumental),
& Martial Arts (I kick butt when I have to).
AMBITION: To finish everything on my personal
to-do list before I die (of which two items are: going Sky diving
& visiting the Taj Mahal). I also plan to have an autobiography
done about my life. I am thinking of calling it “I Live to Eat and
Eat to Live”. Pick up a copy - won’t you.
