Chinese New Year : In Jamaica
AS children growing up in a village shop in rural Jamaica in the 50s and 60s Chinese New Year was one of the times we eagerly looked forward to. Perhaps more so than Christmas. In fact the celebration was called by our Jamaican friends “Chiney Chrismus”.
