Remembering Christmas in Jamaica a Long, Long Time Ago Back when I was a boy, a long, long time ago, the Christmas season started about the middle of December and lasted until after New Year’s Day. It was a time for celebration, to look up old friends and make new ones, to eat, drink and be merry.
