“Snapped!”

By

De life of an immigrant takes center stage,
Just to get some attention,
There was an outpouring of rage,
The foreigner had to shoot up de whole place!
Potential citizens run for there lives,
“Watch out everyone!
He’s gotta gun!
No! He’s gotta knife!”
“Lawd Jesus Christ mek we run fe we life!”
Terror and captivity in a matter of minutes,
A displaced foreigner “snapped” because of exhaustion and being pushed to the limit,
Bureacracy and melodrama 365 days,
Native accents should never cause such delays,
They make fun of accents that don’t resemble their own,
Frustration settles on the brain,
It goes into overload,
A man “snapped“,
He went insane,
What happened to diversity in America?
Did it leave by plane?
He’s thinking….,
“I’m unemployed and they can’t help me,
I speak but I never get heard…..
I’m just another intruder in their pristine world….,”
Immigrants are people too,
Searching for new starts,
Looking for clues,
Yet, they get ignored like
gum on shoes,
A quiet china man “snapped” in two-twos,
Because no one heard his foreigner’s blues.
