Granny Packages

By

I love when Granny sends me all sorts of things,

Like pretty dresses with crinolines,

She sends bun and cheese to soothe my sweet tooth cravings,

Sometimes she sends me the sawdust from the Jamaican Artist shavings,

Granny never sends a little package,

She sends a barrel that occupies the airline's carriage,

She bribes the employees with cornmeal porridge,

Forcing the passengers to hold their own luggage,

Granny sends me plenty of things,

Like jax so my friends and I can play with,

Not to mention Ferrol and Scotts Emulsion,

Just in case I have congestion,

Granny has rid coronation market of their callaloo and fruits,

Just to send her Grandchild goodies,

She thinks I'm lonely because I feel forgotten,

Granny spoils me something rotten,

She doesn't want me eating boxes of potatoes au gratin,

God! I love that old "coot"!

Not just because she sends me lots of loot.
