Madame Maria was an Opera Aria,
Who came to take up residence in Jamaica,
You should hear her sing, "Glory Halleluiah",
As she started to get older,
She became brave and even bolder,
Madame Maria took up Politics I'm told,
Canvassing the countryside to be heard,
You could call her a real political nerd,
She loved her Jamaican Sea Bath,
You could often see her around town in her
pretty pink, swimming hat,
Trying to sign some petition,
Madame Maria was always on a mission,
Jamaican people say, "Who's dat lady?"
"Is she crazy?"
The answer to that question is an emphatic NO!
Madame Maria is just a modern woman on the go.
