"Movie Star"

Published Oct 1, 2006

*(Nothing like a Jamaican family to keep it real)

I am a star of film and screen!

You become grounded when a family member tells you,

"Tap talk bout flim and preening!"

They give a whole new meaning to being a star,

To them, you are simply an ordinary person,

Being a "Movie Star" is like being wuthless and boddersome,

It's better to be bright and exude wisdom,

Proclaim you're a Rhoads Scholar and they would praise you up like Mick Jagger,

Being a "Movie Star" is like piercing their hearts with a dagger,

If you got an Emmy they wouldn't stammer,

They would yell at you, "Go hang up yu clothes pon a hanger !"

"This "Movie Star" talk is a real bummer,"

"Just go invent something,"

Maybe then we'll throw a party in your honor.
