In her poem "NAM!" Margaret Bailey asks why women are eating less to look like models in magazine. The message is to "Nam".
Concerned with how they look,
Because they saw a model in a book,
Starving themselves to appear glam,
My advice to uno is....Nam!
Eat anything you like, eat a pizza at midnight,
The important thing is to eat,
To keep your bodies covered with meat,
Fulfill your inner desire to masticate,
If you don't, your bodies you will emaciate,
Do me a favor?.......Just Nam!
If you're hungry eat a ham,
Whether it be ackee and saltfish or hard-dough bread from the pan,
Put you mind in gear and Nam!
