Jamaicans are so happy and proud,

That's why they never want to say the "C" word out loud,

If a Jamaican gets a cancer diagnosis,

He/she expects everyone to know through osmosis,

Cancer is resonating around the world,

It's affecting little boys and girls,

It's time for us to tell our tales,

About the disease that makes one weary and pale,

The disease that they say that can only be quelled with weed,

The "C" word that makes the world feel defeated,

No matter how scientists try to find a cure,

There's another strain of cancer knocking down the door,

The "C" word is not as incognito as it used to be,

It has ravished the best families.
