Baseball
Even though baseball is rarely played in Jamaica and is not considered a "mainstream" sport Jamaica has produces a few players that have made a name Major League baseball in the USA. Those include 3-time all star Devon White who was a member of the 3 world championship teams (the 1992 and 1993 Toronto Blue Jays and the 1997 Florida Marlins) and New York Yankees Chili Davis who was a member of the 1998 and 1999 championship team.

Basketball
The Jamaica Basketball Association (JBA) - previously JABA - has been in existence since the late 1960's, and league games are an annual event since the 1970's. Recently there has been a surge in the popularity of basketball in Jamaica. Driving around Jamaica one can be sure to see many makeshift baskets in in town and districts. This has led to the formulation of a league that is actively support and heavily contested by teams in Jamaica. Jamaican born future hall famer Patrick Ewing an annual summer basket ball camp in Jamaican which is attended by many of the youths in Jamaica.

Boxing
Even though boxing may not be actively participated in Jamaica it is quiet a popular sport that is watched on TV and Jamaica has produced or had a hand in producing some boxing greats. Those include Mike McCallum, Frank Bruno, Trevor Berbick and Richard 'Shrimpy' Clarke. Many of the British boxers are from Jamaican parentage including Lennox Lewis.
