How do you obtain an official copy of a birth, marriage or death certificate from Jamaica?
To obtain a an official copy of a birth, marriage or death certificate you can download a birth, death or marriage certificate application form from the Registrar General's Department website. After completing the form, mail it in with US$45 for regular service (2-4 weeks processing time) or US$65 for express service (3-10 working days after receipt of application.) Remember to fill out the form completely before mailing. The Registrar General's Department accepts international money orders only. You can also request the form by mail, telephone, or fax:
