    The House That Ruth Built

    Yankee Stadium opened it's gates to the public on April 18, 1923 and hosted it's last game on September 21, 2008....in early September of this year, Pooh and I spent a morning saying good bye to the Cathedral of Baseball....

    Nice photos Dave! I'd never see streets of NYC and the buildings if it weren't for photos and media. It's intriguing.
    Did they blow the place up this fall?

    Dyaaam. those photos kinda leave me speechless. Takes me back to gradeschool, 1961, when we we hanging on every game they played! (sniff,sniff)

    Nanook, demolition won't start until next spring, although I've heard that they may just remove the upper deck and keep the field for high school and college games....
