Jamaicans.com Book Drive

Support The First Jamaicans.com Annual Jamaica Book Drive.
The next two month's, (March-April 2003) Jamaicans.com is holding a book drive to benefit the Jamaica Library Services (JLS) with a goal of collecting 100 children’s books by April 30, 2002. We are partnering Chichibud LTD. and Food For the Poor, which are very active Non-profit organizations working in Jamaica to get the books distributed in Jamaica.

Jamaica Library Services reports children's books represent one of the greatest educational needs that the children have in the rurual areas -- books that the staff and volunteers can read to the children and books that the children can read to their adult caregivers.

Donated children’s books will be dropped off at Food for the Poor in Ft Lauderdale, Florida.

We are asking for your help. The goal is to collect 100 children’s books by April 30. We hope to distribute the books in Jamaica by May 15th, 2003. Donate a book now!!!

Chichibud LTD, an educational NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) dedicated to providing Jamaicans of all ages but particularly primary school aged children, with opportunities to play, read and explore their history and culture.

Food For The Poor (FFP), ministers to spiritually renew impoverished people throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Established in 1982 as a 501(c)(3) Corporation, our goals are to improve the health, economic, social and spiritual conditions of the men, women and children we serve.
