Published Dec 26, 2005Great Shape Inc.! is an international humanitarian partnership
dedicated to empowering Jamaican children in need. Since 2003,Great Shape! has partnered with International SmilePower and Jamaica Ministry of Health to deliver over 1/2 million US $$ in dental services and education to over 3,500 Jamaicans each year -project "1000 SMILES".We organize over 40 dental volunteers to travel from the USA to work in rural clinics for 2 weeks at a time providing gretly needed
service-fillings,cleanings and extractions--dental hygiene education & sealant on permanent molars of children 6 & 12 yrs. old.
Our successes since "wild Gilbert 1988" include a community center, 2 basic schools,
delivered thousands of books,art and sports supplies, basketball scholarships in the
USA, rebuilt a road seving a pottery community in St.Elizabeth.We are a grass-roots
humanitarian,non-governmental,sectarian,charitable,non profit started in Ashland,Or.1988-we have formed partnerships with Jamaican schools,medical offices,social workers,churches,hotels,government bodies and other NGO's to effectively address community problems as they relate to children.
