Jamaicans.com Sons in the Street Fund

The Jamaicans.com Sons in the Street Fund was a great success, thanks to the many of you who supported it!!

Background

August 30th, 2003 marks the launch of a fundraising effort by Members of Jamaicans.com to raise necessary funds to financially assist a targeted family in Kingston Jamaica.

The funds will be raised by solicitation from individuals and corporations in traditional and non-traditional target audiences.

With the assistance of the Institute of Jamaica, and other local Agencies, the funds will mainly be distributed in the areas of Education, Medical and Dietary needs specifically for an identified family, in an ongoing manner. The fund is being established in an effort to promote a healthy lifestyle, with positive developmental measures for the children involved.

Our philosophy is to use our collective energies, intelligence and resources, to make positive contributions towards the improvement of social and economic conditions for target families in Jamaica.
