Beenie Man - 1 Minute Jamaican Music Biography
Published Jun 26, 2004
Beenie Man came
from the rougher than rough Waterhouse area of Kingston and by
the age of 8 was recording music. Growing up he became a very
key ingredient, along with Tiger and singer Anthony Malvo on
the highly touted Black Star Sound. His sense of humour and his
ability to keep things fresh/new/topical made him a Dancehall
giant through the 90s. Although some tough competition has reared
its head and perhaps slowed him down a little, there is no
doubt that Beenie Man's 'wicked ride' is still rolling along.
