A huge star from his early teens, Delroy Wilson took his popularity
from the Rock Steady era to even greater heights with Reggae.
Starting primarily singing at concerts at Boy's Town School,
Delroy used to have to stand up on a 'Red Stripe' beer box in
order that he might actually reach the microphone. The Boy Wonder
would go on to become a Reggae giant. Later in his career Wilson
disappeared from the music business...tired of being ripped off.
But he returned to record one last LP before cancer stole him
from us in the mid 90s.
