John Holt's career began in a big way with the Rock Steady group
the Paragons. When he 'took it' solo at the dawn of the Reggae
era his star continued to shine...and it still does. Jumping
back and forth between Treasure Isle and Studio One, Holt recorded
nothing but quality hits. He was just so smooth. John managed,
with ease, to reach the Dancehall audience with his combination
of Roots music and superb covers for lovers. One other note...John
Holt's combinations with Daddy U Roy helped establish a whole
new genre. John Holt...truly one of Jamaica's all time greats.
