number 1 female vocalist. A major star during the Rock Steady
era, her duets with Bob Andy are legendary. But it was Reggae
that really paved the way for Marcia to become a superstar. A
member of the I 3s, Marcia, Judy Mowatt and Rita Marley backed
Bob Marley for years both in the studio and live on the various
stages of the world. All the while she continued to record and
release superb albums of her own. Her combinations with many
of Jamaica's top DJs have also served to keep Marcia Griffiths
front and centre in the Dancehall.
