The wait is almost over! International reggae icon Buju Banton aka Gargamel is set to blaze the Theater at Madison Square Garden this Sunday May 6th at 8:00pm. Billed as a "Pre-Mother's Day Driver Concert," the historic event will also feature live performances by dancehall legend Shabba Ranks, the man from mars DJ Tony Matterhorn, plus some very special guests.
Gargamel Music, Inc. is also pleased to announce that Banton's long-awaited "Driver A" music video, directed by Troy Antonio, has officially been added into national rotation at MTV Jams, VH1 Soul, BETJ and Music Choice. The clip is #1 this week on Susie Q's influential Reggae Top 10 countdown, which airs in South Florida, New York, the UK, parts of Europe and Jamaica. It is also #1 on the Video Mix mainstream chart, which airs in Miami, Knoxville, TN and Hampton Roads, VA.

Back in Jamaica, the "Driver A" video clip debuted at #9 this week on RETV's MVP Top 10 video countdown, which is based solely on viewers' votes. Fans can also peep the video on demand online at AOL Music, Yahoo Music, www.youtube.com/gargamelmusic or www.myspace.com/bujubanton.

Buju Banton and his Shiloh Band are guaranteed to electrify Madison Square Garden with blazing dancehall cuts from the Grammy-nominated new album Too Bad, as well as older classics and roots selections from his critically acclaimed early collections Mr. Mention, 'Til Shiloh, Inna Heights, Unchained Spirit and Friends For Life.

This highly anticipated show is being promoted by veteran Caribbean radio personality Dahved Levy through his Devonish Promotions company, with partners GB God Bless and Don Grant of Harlem's infamous Roti Plus restaurant (www.rotiplus.net). Sponsors include Air Jamaica, Moet/Hennessy and CaribbeanFever.com. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations and also online at www.ticketmaster.com or www.thegarden.com
