Lutan Fyah end's successful year on high note

After completing a successful tour of California and Suriname between October 26 th and November 3 rd, Lutan Fyah returned to Jamaica and has since been busy working on material for his upcoming album as well as preparing for a bumper Christmas season.

NEW VIDEO –IS THIS THE WAY

Lutan Fyah has just finished shooting the video for his single Is This The Way, which was released earlier this year. Is This The Way was produced by Rootical Records based in Miami and is the latest single to be released from Lutan's untitled 16-track album scheduled for a January 2008 release.

The video was shot in Damhead, St.Catherine as well as Downtown Kingston and directed by cutting edge video production outfit Fabrikated Projex.

The video follows the lyrics of the song and makes comments on slavery, the unemployment situation in Jamaica and asks the question: " Is this the way they want us to live?" Lutan Fyah also touches on sensitive subjects such as abortion, lack of education and extortion.

"The video tells all about what's going on in today's poor people's world and shows there is a lot of poverty and hopelessness and people seem to want to hide from that reality" – Lutan Fyah

NEW SINGLE – RASTA SET THE TREND

Lutan Fyah has just finished recording the next single to be released off the upcoming album. The song Rasta Set The Trend is a collaboration with Lutan Fyah and Morgan Heritage produced by Tsahai Productions. Rasta Set The Trend will hit the air waves next week and is set to be the latest of Lutan Fyah's slue of chart toppers this year which include, St Jago Dela-Vega, Mightier Than Them All, and Save The Juvenile among others.


UPCOMING EVENTS

Lutan Fyah will be ending 2007 on a high note as he is confirmed for several shows both in Jamaica and overseas. On Saturday, December 15 th Lutan Fyah will perform at the show dubbed St Jago Dela-Vega in Spanish Town Jamaica, Lutan Fyah is also slated to appear at Guinness Sting on Boxing Day Wednesday, December 26th and will leave Jamaica for a show at the Amazura Club in New York on Friday, December 28 th. Lutan Fyah will return for Morgan Heritage's East Fest on Saturday, December 29th.

Lutan Fyah kicks off the New Year with his performance at Rebel Salute on Saturday, January 12 th 2008, fans can also look out for the launch of his sophomore album at the beginning of the New Year.
