Mayor of the City of Orlando, Buddy Dyer has said that the ultimate goal of next month's Second Annual Central Florida Caribbean American Business Expo is that investment, trade and lasting business relationships will be developed between Central Florida and the Caribbean region.

In his welcome message to exhibitors participating in the June 1-3, 2007 Business Expo, Mayor Dyer noted that the event "will allow many businesses both locally and state-wide to showcase their goods and services to visiting businesses from around the Caribbean region and for Caribbean based businesses to be exposed to the Florida market."

The Mayor also pointed out that Orlando is rich with opportunities for "recreation, cultural entertainment, educational resources and business enterprises. When it comes to service and hospitality, Orlando is second to none."

The expo will feature displays of goods and services offered by scores of businesses from Florida, along with those from the Caribbean region. A Caribbean Village featuring live music, an array of cuisine and a variety of drinks, including Beers of the Caribbean, will highlight Central Florida's Second Caribbean American Business Expo to be held June 1-3, 2007 at the Central Florida Fair and Exposition Park.

Put on by Central Florida's Caribbean Sun newspaper, this year's Expo, held as part of the celebration of Caribbean American Heritage month, will bring together entrepreneurs from the United States and the Caribbean to showcase their products and services and to explore the development of business relationships. Caribbean-American Heritage Month is designated to highlight and celebrate the great contributions of Caribbean Americans to the fabric of the United States of America and this Expo seeks to demonstrate the contribution of Caribbean Americans in the field of business and economic development.
Last year's Expo was a phenomenal success, attracting more than 80 exhibitors and resulting in the establishment of new import and export business, including contracts for the supply of rice, peppers and other products from the Caribbean and the supply from Florida of equipment and raw material.
