Nadine Sutherland Says ‘Call My Name’ to South Florida, Los Angeles, & Billboard-Main
Nadine Sutherland dines with radio contest winners at "Call My Name" CD launch event at Carl's Seafood in So Florida - April 26th

I never ever ever stop movin’- now me have the vibe me nah go lose it,
The way me light a shine no haffi prove it- can’t stand in my way.”

(Lyrics from “It’s My Day”; Call My Name)

The above-mentioned lyrics have proven to be a self-fulfilling prophecy for veteran songbird Nadine Sutherland as she continues promotion of her hot new album Call My Name. Over the last four days Nadine dined with contest winners and members of the press in Lauderhill on Thursday; greeted fans at her cd signing Saturday at Broward’s popular Sawgrass Mills Mall; then made a quick return home to tape the Mandeville auditions for Digicel’s Rising Stars. Nadine will round out the week with a two day trip to Los Angeles for the West Coast launch of her album at Jamaica Live this coming Thursday.

Nadine arrived in South Florida last Wednesday to be greeted with the news that Call My Name debuted on Billboard’s Reggae Albums Chart at #14. In her nearly thirty year career, this is Nadine’s first full-length album to land on a Billboard magazine chart, so she had plenty to celebrate at Thursday’s press reception. Just before meeting the press, she sat down to dinner with three lucky contest winners (from Mystik 1400AM) at Carl’s Seafood Restaurant. Over a meal of steamed fish, tofu, etc. Nadine and her dinner companions; Toussaint, Edgar, and Alphonso spoke about the new album and the ups and downs of the music industry. The winners are all big fans and thoroughly enjoyed the time with her. Nadine considered the evening a great success saying “The vibe tonight is just so wonderful, I am excited about my album and thrilled that so many people came out to experience the night with me.” On Saturday, Nadine continued to break new ground with an in-store appearance at FYE Music in Sawgrass Mills Mall. The popular mall is usually a prime location for appearances by mainstream acts. This was their first in-store for a reggae artist, and store management was pleased with the turnout. Plans are being made for appearances at some of their other locations across the U.S.

On Thursday, May 3rd Nadine and album producer Kenroy “YahBreeze” Archibald will be in Los Angeles for the official West Coast launch of Call My Name at popular nightspot, Jamaica Live (Dragonfly Club). Nadine will meet and greet fans and perform a few songs from her new album. For more information please call (323) 980-3444 or visit www.lareggaeclubs.com
