Nadine Sutherland's Call My Name Preview Week Officially Begins

Published Mar 30, 2007

With mere days to go until the release of Nadine Sutherland's new CD, Call My Name, radio and internet listeners in select cities throughout the U.S. and Caribbean region will be privy to a sneak peek into making of the album. Eight76 Records and Foundation Media are staging live "radio preview/premiere parties'" with Nadine in more than 20 markets.

The preview kicked off at 1 a.m. (EST) Friday morning during KUNR 88.7's Reggae For Real program hosted by The Postmon out of Reno, Nevada. Despite the late hour on her end of the world, Nadine and The Postmon spoke for almost an hour about her career, her new album, and what it's like to be a female artist in the reggae music industry. Said Nadine "There is definitely a 'boy's club'. People try to restrict you to a certain point, to contain you- but I have reached a stage in my life where I simply don't pay it no mind. That way it cannot truly affect you " I am just really enjoying who I am and loving my new album." The entire interview will be posted on Nadine's myspace page (www.myspace.com/nadinesutherlandfireal) over the weekend.

The premiere parties are set to continue right though the album's first week of release. Nadine will conduct the interviews from Jamaica where she has been performing her hit single 'Big Tingz' at various Cricket World Cup events and Jamaica Carnival events throughout the island. Sutherland is also gearing up for a third season of the wildly popular television program "Digicel's Rising Stars". She is due to come stateside the second week of April to begin a series of in-store appearances and album launch parties. The appearances will also include contest opportunities for fans to win several prizes ranging from CDs to cellphones pre-loaded with Eight76 Ringtones to a trip for two to the official album launch in Jamaica. A complete schedule of the album previews and other launch events is available on the Eight76 Records myspace page- www.myspace.com/eight76
