New Pageant from Posh Entertainment Productions To Spotlight Environmental Causes-Body

KINGSTON, JAMAICA, March 11, 2008 - In March 2008, Carousel Productions Inc., licensed Posh Entertainment Productions Ltd. to produce the local pageant to select a Jamaican representative for the Miss Earth Pageant®.

The young woman, who receives the prestigious title of Miss Earth Jamaica, will become a Goodwill Ambassador and Spokesperson for Jamaica, its environmental and tourism industries. She will work with environmental projects and educate our people on the three R's (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) which will contribute to ensuring that Jamaica remains an eco-friendly tourist destination. Jamaica's current economic mainstay is tourism and Posh Entertainment Productions along with Miss Earth Jamaica will work towards ensuring that private as well as corporate citizen's work together to preserve our environment. It is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that our environment remains a safe place for both our people and our wildlife.

The Search Is On to find the most beautiful woman to represent Jamaica at one of the third largest International Pageant, Miss Earth® held in Manila, Philippines from October 19 to November 10, 2008. We are looking for motivated young women who will proudly represent Jamaica in fulfilling the ideals of the competition – while becoming an effective advocate for Mother Earth.

The Miss Earth Jamaica Beauty Pageant is open to all young female between the ages of 18-26, who are unmarried, never given birth; minimum height of 5 feet 5 inches; possess beauty of face and proportionate body structure; outgoing and friendly; excellent physical condition; has knowledge of her country's culture and environment; shall either have been born in Jamaica, be the child of a Jamaican parent, or is a naturalized citizen of Jamaica. Applications are now being accepted for 2008 Miss Earth Jamaica.
