In a significant enhancement of his original claim, Dr. Christopher Walker, of Orlando Florida has added key members of David Smith’s family in his civil ligation claim against the OLINT Ponzi scheme.
Walker has added claims that Tracy Ann Smith, wife of David Smith, Edith Smith and Sybil Goffe were participants in the racketeering scheme with David Smith and OLINT. Charles Ross, CEO and prominent Jamaican banker of Sterling Asset Management, was also added to the list of conspirators.
Dr. Walker says that Sybil Goffe, a resident of Jamaica and mother of Tracy Ann Smith, made several efforts to encourage him and others to join the OLINT scheme in 2006. When the scheme went bust he asked Goffe for assistance to get his money back. Goffe told him to “pray about it” and refused to return further phone calls.
Walker alleges that the entire Smith family was involved in the scheme and has reaped the benefits thereof.
In the new complaint, Dr. Walker alleges that David Smith was in partnership with Jared and Isaac Martinez in a company called I-Trade FX.
He refers to correspondence sent in 2007 amongst Smith family members confirming that OLINT was a Ponzi scheme.
The doctor also referred to the decision by David Smith, documented by the National Futures Association, to transfer the amount of $100 million U.S. dollars to Isaac Martinez, which is currently being investigated for money laundering by U.S. Federal authorities.
He also refers to Charles Ross and the several invoices and wire transfers sent by Ross’s Sterling Asset Management to OLINT. The complaint contends that Ross has been a secret financial intermediary for OLINT during the time period when OLINT claimants could not receive their money.
The case is pending before Judge Robert Evans in Orange County Florida, as the OLINT crisis in South Florida continues to deepen.
Dr. Walker has been in discussions with Mr. Terrier, a Senior IMF representative, concerning his perception of the Government of Jamaica’s involvement in and with OLINT, including the fact that David Smith paid for the 2007 Jamaica Labor Party Conference and the lack of transparency for political campaign financing in Jamaica.
Dr. Walker has been a consistent critic of the embattled and exiled financier David Smith, who currently is facing felony charges in the Turks and Caicos Islands for money laundering, fraud and theft.
