The HD Family Revealed

Published Sep 2, 2009

As Trinidad and Tobago celebrates its independence, the HD Family will be joining with its own celebration, one of musical independence - another exciting concept from its very own iconic soca superstar Machel Montano. On Wednesday, September 2, 2009, the HD Family - Patrice Roberts, Farmer Nappy, Zan and Umi Marcano - will step out from under the wings of their musical mentor to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with, in music and beyond.

The HD Family Revealed is a live artist showcase event, with the solo acts taking center stage at the popular Zen nightclub, backed by the live HD Band. In keeping with the HD Family's vision of Caribbean unity, an all-star Caribbean line-up will join the celebration. They include Barbadian soca star Biggie Irie, Cathy Ella, General Grant, Antigua's reigning Jumpy Soca and Groovy Monarch Tian Winter, and Grenada's Nnika Francis. The stage will come alive with music and dance as they will all be accompanied by the exciting HD Dancers.

The emergence of these successful musicians is a culmination of years of holistic guidance and preparation by Montano, who has used his vast experience in the business to provide the group with many opportunities, both locally and internationally. Through these avenues they have learned to deal with the rigors of hard work, sacrifices, dedication and the importance of teamwork. Talented and creative, they have been able to develop their own entrepreneurial skills, which will now take them into the future. Montano will continue to guide the group as they move forward, offering management and support in the areas of production, writing, image building and marketing, through his resources.

The HD Family Revealed will showcase the members of the world famous HD Band, consisting of award-winning vocalists, producers and song writers. Fans and media will be up close and personal with the entire HD Family, from solo artists Patrice Roberts, Farmer Nappy, Zan and Umi Marcano, to acclaimed producers Dwain "Dwaingerous" Antrobus and Shawn "Roots" Mitchell, to prized songwriter Kernal Roberts, who doubles as the band's musical director.

The HD Family Revealed kicks off at 10pm sharp at Zen Nightclub, located at 9-11 Keate Street in Port of Spain, Trinidad. The artists will be available for interviews from 10:00pm to 11:30pm. There will be complimentary open bar from 10pm to 11:30pm, with showtime set for 12 midnight, and an autograph session and photo opportunity for fans at 2am. Please direct all media inquiries to RHONA FOX, INC. at publicity@rhonafoxinc.com.
