Passengers on board Air Jamaica’s flight JM033 from Kingston to Fort Lauderdale on September 3 were treated to an impromptu performance from reggae star Luciano when the flight was diverted to Nassau as both Miami International and Fort Lauderdale airports were closed due to bad weather.  During the refueling, Captain Luciano, with guitar in hand, navigated through some of his hits including “Lord Give Me Strength” for which he received a rousing applause.  As one passenger remarked, “Only on Air Jamaica this kind of thing could happen….boy, Luciano really made me feel good today.” Afterwards, the purser thanked Luciano for providing additional entertainment and making it a  memorable experience.
