Published Jan 10, 2008

Lutan Fyah is definitely one to watch for 2008.

There seems to be no stopping Lutan Fyah; coming off a successful festive season Lutan Fyah is now gearing up for the release of his latest album dubbed 'Old Capitol' along with numerous shows slated for the New Year.

Lutan Fyah ended 2007 on a high note as he proved once again the he is one of the most indomitable artistes on the scene. On Saturday, December 15th Lutan Fyah performed at the show, St Jago Dela-Vega in Spanish Town Jamaica. St Jago Dela Vega was a success and brought much needed joy and happiness to Lutan Fyah's fans in Spanish Town. Lutan Fyah then turned his heat on at Morgan Heritage's East Fest on Saturday, December 29th where, based on all reports he was the one to watch. Lutan Fyah also appeared at Guinness Sting on Boxing Day Wednesday, December 26th, it was at Guinness Sting that Lutan Fyah gave one of his best performances for 2008.

"Lutan Fyah was impressive with his inimitable style. Lutan's set stood out because it came at a time when the audience was becoming restless and proved the perfect boost for a Sting audience desperate for lyrical action" – Karyl Walker, Jamaica Observer Reporter.

Lutan Fyah will kick off the New Year with a performance at Rebel Salute on Saturday, January 12th 2008 before jetting of to New York for the much anticipated Kings in Action show at Club Amazura. The show will also feature Beenie man, Richie Spice and Sizzla.

Upon his return to Jamaican in January, Lutan Fyah will premiere his newest video Is This The Way; the song for which was released earlier this year. Is This The Way was produced by Rootical Records based in Miami and is the latest video to be released from Lutan's 'Old Capitol' album. The video was shot at Damhead, St. Catherine as well as Downtown Kingston and directed by the cutting edge video production outfit Fabrikated Projex. Also to be released this January is Lutan Fyah's newest single off the upcoming album. The song Rasta Set The Trend is a collaboration with Lutan Fyah and Morgan Heritage produced by Tsahai Production.

Later on in the year Lutan will also be doing his first show in Africa before beginning his summer tour of Europe. Lutan Fyah is definitely one to watch for 2008 as he plans to increase the momentum he created in 2007.
