Published Nov 12, 2007

Monday, November 12, 2007 - The Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association (ACCBA) will be
sponsoring the 2008 Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Queen and Prince and Princess

2004 and is dedicated to it mission to promote a broader understanding and deeper
appreciation for Caribbean culture by seeking the interest of metro Atlanta Caribbean
Carnival costume producers, also known as Bandleaders, and others dedicated to
sharing traditional Caribbean art forms. The group hopes to further that mission by
highlighting the local talent of young ladies and children of Caribbean descent in the
metro Atlanta area. The goal of the pageants is to select well-rounded and talented
young people to represent the Atlanta Caribbean community.
The eligibility requirements for the Prince and Princess pageants can be obtained
by contacting Nadine Quinland at 404-429-1752 or Marcy Connell at 678-414-5777.

Carnival Parade of Bands and Festival to be held May 24, 2008. They will also be
required to participate in other pageants, local and national, as a representative of
ACCBA and the metro Atlanta Caribbean community. The Atlanta Caribbean Carnival
