Come experience Bob Marley live in high definition as you have never seen him before. On November 26th at 8:00 pm at the Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood all Marley fans will have the chance to see Bob Marley & The Wailer's classic 1977 live show "Live at the Rainbow" on the big screen. This will be the North American premiere of this recently restored and never before seen version of "Live at the Rainbow," taped at the famed Roundhouse in London during Bob's seminal Exodus Tour. Bob Marley began recording Exodus in 1977 in London after recovering from an assassination attempt prompted by his involvement in the turbulent and dangerous world of Jamaican politics. His pervious record releases had been uncompromisingly political including fiery lyrics and delivery. Exodus marks a change for Marley as a songwriter; he shows a more reflective, introspective side. Time Magazine voted Exodus as "the most important album of the 20th century".
More than any other artists Bob Marley personified reggae and Rastafarianism, the religious movement so closely associated with it. Marley has been called "the first third world superstar," "Rasta prophet," "visionary," and "revolutionary artist." These accolades were not mere hyperbole. Marley was one of the most charismatic and challenging performers of the time.
