Caribbean Canvases Art Show Opening Reception, June 1, 2012, Los Angeles, CA

Caribbean Canvases is a weekend-long art show, curated by LILI BERNARD, featuring the works of four Caribbean-born artists, in celebration of National Caribbean Heritage Month. The exhibition will occur during St. Agatha’s International Carnival in the West Adams District of Los Angeles, CA. The featured artists are DUANE PAUL and BERNARD HOYES (both Jamaican-born) and SILFREDO LA O and LILI BERNARD (both Cuban-born). The opening reception will feature a live performance of simultaneous Afro-Cuban dancing, drumming and painting by SILFREDO LA O.  

OPENING RECEPTION: Friday, June 1, 2012, 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm. SILFREDO LA O will perform live at 9:00 pm.

SHOW DATES: Friday, June 1, 2012 – Sunday June 3, 2012 (during St. Agatha’s International Carnival)
