Heineken Good Times goes Margarita’s - Friday, June 29, 2007, Ocho Rios, Jamaica-Main

Good Times, “Jamaica’s premier oldie’s party”, is back again and back with a vengeance. The Quorum, in association with Heineken, offers Good Times “Do the Electric Slide” at Margaritaville, Ocho Rios on Friday, June 29 starting at 9 PM.

With a 10 year history and thousands of loyal patrons, Good Times events have been held in the capital, the second city and major towns including May Pen and Mandeville. This one however, will be first in the successful Good Times old hits party series to be hosted in Ocho Rios. The venue is quite suitable as it is well-known for hosting the hottest and liveliest parties all year round and next Friday, will be no different. It is also the first time that the event will be held on a Friday.

Good Times patrons come back year after year for the music. The party attracts a mature crowd and features all the popular hits from the mid 70’s – 90’s in a “no-talk” format. The DJs spinning the one’s and two’s are Colin Hinds, Kurt Riley and Denvo (Heineken Green Synergy DJ). “We are most proud of the musical selection at Good Times,” Hamilton asserted. “Quality of selection and sound create the vibe”.

The Quorum constantly makes contributions to various institutions with each staging of the event. This time around, part proceeds goes to the St. Ann Infirmary.

The last Good Times took place on Saturday, May 26 at Mas Camp and despite the inclement weather, the partiers were out in the numbers to commemorate “Staying Alive: Travolta Style”. Featuring surprise performances by Little John, Stone Power, the man who stole the show was the legendary Tiger.

The party on Friday, June 29 kicks off at 9 PM and tickets will only be sold at the venue, so get there early. The entry fee will also be at a reduced rate of $500.
