Flashpoint Media Launch Party on for May 20
The Flashpoint Film Festival Media Launch Party is scheduled for Tuesday, 20 May 2008 at 'Ashanti' Restaurant, Hope Gardens, at 7pm. Your organization plays a key role in raising the public profile of the Jamaican film and television industry locally, regionally and internationally.
We would like to invite you to attend the Flashpoint Media Launch to taste the flavour of Flashpoint 2008. The festival will occupy its new home this year at Fort Charles and the Historic Naval Hospital in the celebrated town of Port Royal on Thursday, June 5 to Sunday June 8.
Festival goers can expect to participate in a host of activities including the film premier of three Jamaican feature films, mobile movies in the Port Royal public square with host Mutabaruka, original sound tracks featuring producer Jay Will, a star-studded line-up with budding actors Everaldo Creary, Sheldon Shepherd, and super model Nicole Grey, and old favourites like Rohan Daley, Ragashanti, and the Godfathers of Jamaican performance art, Oliver Samuels and Charles Hyatt.
Join us at the Flashpoint launch to find out more about the four days of excitement, creativity and culture that will take place in the heart of the old city, on the fiftieth anniversary of the 1692 earthquake.
