New York - Soca superstar Machel Montano is set to rock the cultural capital of the world when he headlines twice in one night at Madison Square Garden in New York City, on Friday, March 28.

Numerous stars spanning the Caribbean and its exotic genres will lend their island appeal to the performances, including fellow Trinidad & Tobago (TNT) countrymen and living legends David Rudder and Mighty Sparrow, and chart toppers Patrice Roberts (TNT), Macka Diamond (Jamaica), Rikki T (St. Lucia), Peter Ram (Barbados), and Problem Child (St. Vincent), just to name a few. Some other entertainment heavyweights are also slated to appear on the bill, but promoters are lending to the excitement by waiting for show time to surprise the audience, many of whom are crossing international borders for the highly anticipated shows.

This concert comes on the horizon of Montano's new album, WINING SEASON, available next month, with a new international album slated for a summer release.

Montano set industry records by selling out two shows on the same night when he last performed at MSG, in May 2007. Show promoter Dahved Levy says, "We want to present our Caribbean culture and music on the same level, on the same stage, and in the same atmosphere that other genres of music are presented on." And with Machel Montano LIVE at MSG this Friday, they are indeed taking Caribbean music to the next level.
