Atlanta Mother's Day Reggae Fest, May 11th, 2008, Georgia

The City known for mothers, and families, from all over the Caribbean, listed among the “top cities for Caribbean families to live and work,” celebrates A Mother’s Day Reggae Fest. The Metro Atlanta City of Conyers features world renowned Reggae artists, fashion show, hats competition, among top entertainment as part of the Atlanta Mother’s Day Fest to be held on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the Conyers Horse Park, 1996 Centennial Olympic Pkwy in Conyers, Georgia, Noon until Midnight.

Organized by ISLAND GOLD PROMOTIONS, and IRIE LINKS PROMOTIONS with part proceeds going to SOURCE PREGNANCY ORGANIZATION, whose intentions are to help single mothers and teens to a better life in caring for their young ones.
“This is a great opportunity for festival goers to express special love and appreciation for their mothers or mother figures that played an important role in their upbringing” says the festival Manager, Ms. Joan Savoury. The celebration kicks off around noon until midnight featuring the likes of International reggae artists such as John Holt, Leroy Sibbles, Ken Boothe, Ernie Smith, J C Lodge, Cables, Wayne Wade, Glen Washington, Tinga Stewart, Joan Myers, Georgette Coley and more…all backed by the infamous reggae band, FAB 5 and hosted by Joan “tasty & delicious” Savoury & Empress Caroline of WGFS 1430 AM Radio, Miss Kitty from Nationwide Radio, Mikey B of WAVS, Lou Brown of 1100 AM and Jason Walker of WRFG, 89.3 FM.
This Mother’s Day Celebration also welcomes an award, to be presented to the Mayor of Covington, Ms Kim Carter by Jamaica’s Consul, Mr. Vin Martin, as well as honoring mothers from the Source Pregnancy Clinic, a non-profit organization who seeks help in getting new mothers organized. The festival commemorates a very special day in everyone’s lives and we are expecting a huge audience to do so. There will be Caribbean foods as well as other types of food, arts & crafts, information booths, plenty of parking and the entire family is welcomed as children activities such as clowns, jumping jacks and more will be on grounds.
