The legendary Shabba Ranks has been tapped to open for Buju Banton at the highly anticipated Pre-Mother's Day "Driver" concert at the Theater at Madison Square Garden on Sunday May 6th - 8:00pm. This blockbuster event is being promoted by veteran Caribbean radio personality and entrepreneur Dahved Levy through his Devonish Promotions company, with partners GB God Bless and Don Grant of Harlem's Roti Plus. Sponsors include Air Jamaica, Moet/Hennessy and CaribbeanFever.com.

Shabba Ranks was the first authentic dancehall artist to burst on the international scene, sign a major label deal [with Epic records] in the US and eventually win not one - but two prestigious Grammy awards over the course of his illustrious career. The icon is a welcome addition to the lineup, which also includes DJ Tony Matterhorn, who will warm the stage with his explosive hits "Dutty Wine" and "Goodas Fi Dem."
Buju Banton is guaranteed to electrify the Theater at Madison Square Garden with his Shiloh Band. Fans can expect him to perform a blazing succession of dancehall cuts from his Grammy-nominated new album Too Bad, as well as classics and roots selections from the critically acclaimed collections Mr. Mention, 'Til Shiloh, Inna Heights, Unchained Spirit and Friends For Life.

Tickets for this very special evening are available at all Ticketmaster locations and also online at www.ticketmaster.com or www.thegarden.com
