University of The West Indies Florida Alumni Association Celebrates UWI 60.
January 16 - The University of the West Indies celebrates its 60th anniversary starting “UWI DAY” January 7, 2008.
This will continue throughout 2008 at all the UWI campus countries and sites.
The various alumni associations will sponsor signature events in the various locales.
Florida chapter will host an Awards banquet & Dance at The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, 3003 University Drive, Sunrise, FL 33319. on Saturday February 2, 2008 @ 7.30pm.
Guest Speaker will be Vice Chancellor; Professor Nigel Harris, and Patrons ; Former US Ambassador to Jamaica- Amb Sue Cobb and CP Ricardo Allicock, Consulate General of Jamaica to the Southern United States.
Music – Byron Lee & the Dragonaires. Sponsors are Welcome.
