Her Excellency Lady Allen Patrons Ashe’s Sweet 16th Anniversary, September 29 - October 4, 2009, Jamaica

Her Excellency The Most Honourable Lady Allen will be patron at the Ashe Performing Arts Company ‘Sweet Sixteen – Season of Excellence’ which begins on September 29 through to October 4, 2009 at the Little Theatre in Kingston, Jamaica.

Lady Allen who is an advocate for children and the elderly as well as a strong supporter of positive youth oriented programmes using culture expressed her delight to patronize the Sweet Sixteen Season of Excellence.

Their Excellencies The Governor-General and the Most Honourable Lady Allen will celebrate with several others the vast repertoire of ASHE in entertainment and edutainment at the Season of Excellence Gala Night on October 3, 2009. On that night Ashe will stage Boonoonoonoos and Brawta as well as performances from some of its international tours.

“Their Excellencies are in for a treat! And I am excited that Lady Allen accepted our invitation to celebrate with us in this grand occasion,” remarked Conroy B Wilson, Ashe’s Executive Artistic Director.

According to Wilson the decision was made given Her Excellency’s advocacy and interests in good parenting, children and youth and cultures all areas Ashe has been working in over the years.

The Ashe Performing Arts Company boasts successes with more than twenty international awards for excellence in the performing arts and innovation in education (edutainment) for community transformation and social development throughout the Caribbean, Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Ashe Sweet Sixteen Season of Excellence is an event for everyone! Everyone to celebrate with us, families should purchase tickets and companies or organisations may provide sponsorship or purchase tickets for the communities they serve in their social intervention programmes so we can continue to promote a sense of national pride and consciousness and sensitise our citizens about national development.
