The 42nd Anniversary of Jamaica’s Independence will be celebrated in grand style at the Hilton Hotel and Towers on Saturday, August 14, 2004. This is a black tie affair and is sponsored by the Consulate General of Jamaica, Air Jamaica Limited, and the Jamaica Tourist Board, in collaboration with the Jamaica Independence Anniversary Committee. This year’s guest of honour will be the Hon. Barbara Gloudon, O.J., D.Litt.

Entertainment will be provided by Byron Lee and the Dragonaires and several outstanding guest artistes. In addition to being an evening of music, dance and fashion, there will also be a silent auction with its usual array of impressive items.

The Independence Ball has the distinction of being the largest such event outside of Jamaica. Therefore, early reservations are an absolute must for this highly anticipated event. Tickets are priced at $160, all-inclusive.
