Known as the only Reggae/Dancehall group in Jamaica still together without ever having been reunited, T.O.K opens the book on their lives since their founding days in the early 1990's, with DJ Garrity tonight. The interview takes place on Hype Radio 1170 AM with the phenonomenal DJ Garrity whose musical menu starts at 12 midnight every Friday.
"T.O.K. hails from Kingston, Jamaica with group members: Alistaire "Alex" McCalla, Roshaun "Bay C" Clarke, and Craig "Craigy T" Thompson, former choir members at Campion College, and a younger friend, Xavier "Flexx" Davidson, who attended Calabar High School" (yardflex.com).
"Their many successes include the 1996 single "Hardcore Lover," recorded with Lady Saw and scoring again with hits like "Whoa" and "Ill Na Na;" the 1998 "Eagles Cry" which reached the top slot in Jamaica; the controversial "ChiChi Man" in 2000; their 2001 debut album, "My Crew, My Dawgs," which peaked at number six on Billboard's Top Reggae Albums chart then in 2005 they scored another hit with the song "Footprints," (about one of the group member's younger brother getting killed by a stray bullet) T.O.K has also performed covers of Bob Marley songs or "Hot Stepper", by Ini Kamoze" (yardflex.com).
