Jamaica Wedding Resource

Jamaica is one of the most popular wedding destinations in the Caribbean, and the following resources should help you be able to plan the wedding of your dreams.

General Information
To obtain a marriage license, you are required to submit your documents in advance to process your application. Information should be submitted to:

The Ministry of National Security

Hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Friday from 9.00am to 4pm. The cost of the marriage license is JA$4,000 Jamaican dollars (subject to change).

Upon receiving the marriage license, you can proceed in planning your wedding; however, notify the registrar when you apply for your license.

Non-denominational Marriage Officers (registrars) can officiate at their offices or at a destination of your choice. They are also able to provide witnesses. Marriage Officers charge between US $50 to US $250.
