Resorts in Jamaica are well known for offering world-class facilities for sports like tennis and golfing to their patrons. These resorts also employ highly skilled and experienced professionals at their sporting facilities. If you want to wind out with a little game of tennis during your vacation, a resort would be the best place to do it. The Tryall Club and Half Moon are two top Jamaican resorts at Montego Bay where guests can indulge in a fair bit of golfing and tennis. Sandals Grande Ocho Rios also offers excellent courts for tennis enthusiasts.

The Tryall Club at Montego Bay has on offer nine world-class hard surface courts, with two of them provided with lighting for nighttime play. Four of these courts have classic clay surfaces and the other five have Nova Cushion surfaces. The resort conducts weekly tournaments and has a team of experienced team of instructors and hitting partners. Guests are welcome to use these facilities free of cost other than a charge of $20 per hour for lighting though non-guests may have to pay $30 per hour for court time. You can also go for professional lessons at rates starting from $40 per hour.

The most highly rated tennis courts in Jamaica are located at the Half Moon resort at Montego Bay. Half Moon is home to 13 all-weather Laykold courts, seven of them well lit for nighttime play. There are also four world-class squash courts and equipment at the resort. The resort allows its guests full use of the courts at any time of the day at no extra cost. Those not staying at the resort can also avail of these facilities at the cost of a $40 a day pass. Half Moon also offers professional tennis classes at rates from $50 per hour.

The Ocho Rios’s Sandals Grande, formerly known as Sandals Ocho Rios and Beaches Grand Sport, is another option if you want to play on clay or hard surface courts. This resort offers you three clay and three hard surface courts, all of them equipped for nighttime play. Residents at the resort can make free use of these courts and get pro classes at $30 per hour. They conduct twice-a-day tennis classes for novices and experts in the game. These courts also play host to guest tournaments and twice-daily tennis clinics.

The Rose Hall Resort and Country Club also at Montego Bay is another option. The resort boasts of six hard-surface courts, all of them provided with lighting. Guests have the privilege to make free use of the courts.
