French Beans With Leftover Caribbean Stewed Pork.

Recipe for cooking French beans or any type of green beans with the help of Caribbean cookbook author Chris De La Rosa. In this method of cooking beans, we’ll add some tasty pieces of leftover Caribbean stewed pork. The pork itself is marinated, then stewed as it’s done in Trinidad and Tobago until the tender and packed with flavor. If doing this recipe vegetarian, I’d recommend using coconut milk instead of water for more flavors.

For this stewed beans you’ll need…

1.5 lbs French beans
1 small onion
3 cloves garlic
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon Olive oil
Hot pepper (I used wiri wiri)
1 cup water (or coconut milk if making this vegetarian)
left over stewed pork
