Did not want to leave Jamaica

I had the chance of visiting Jamaica in December of 97 until January of 98 and it was the best. Although my Parish Portland was flooding with heavy rains that did not stop me from getting my party on. I had a chance to attend the annual Chrystal Springs stage show. Although it had rained the day we were still jamming to the likes of Sizzla, Buju and lots of other big Rastafari astist who set the place on fire. Asylum the new club in New Kingston was my spot. Ladies nigt at Asylum was the best, with all the fine Jamaican girls in the hottest comming out. Not only were the females fine but the guys, the finest of them all was the one who accompanied me to the club (A big shout to Nordy).

I went to the beach in Portmoore to get some fish and festival it was good. My next visit to jamaica will be in the summer or at the end of the year with my roomate, so hope to see you all there so that we can get our grove on at the clubs. Jamaica see you soon.

Who Says You Can't See Kingston Jamaica like a Tourist - Day 1: Port Royal
We took a late AirJamaica flight. It was the flight that everyone always complaints of being late. Well the flight arrived on time. In fact we got in early and had to call to say we were at the airport. This is the second time we took Air Jamaica this year and it was on time. Today is our last day in Cuba. As usual we went to breakfast. After breakfast I had to change some Euros at Cambio before leaving. While in line I was questioned by a German tourist who asked if Jamaicans are prejudice. He was afraid to go because someone in Germany told him Jamaicans are prejudiced. I assured him we were not and that it was safe to go to Jamaican.

Jamaica to Cuba - Part 2
We awoke at 7.00am to get an early start before our city tour. Our package included breakfast so we headed to the hotel’s main restaurant. The restaurant was packed. It was a buffet style continental breakfast except for the eggs. One of the things we enjoyed was the gentleman who cooked our eggs. He seemed so contented in what he did and had a great smile on his face. He was one of the few people who seemed really happy while we were in Cuba.

Jamaica to Cuba Part 1
We got to the airport very early. The check-in process to Cuba was complicated. The boarding passes and documentation were for Cubana airlines even though we would be traveling Air Jamaica. There seems to have been some mix-up with our itinerary so the ticket agent had to reprint all our documents. The ticket agent reminded us to be sure that we had our all important visa card. This is the document that Cuban immigration would stamp for entry and exit from the country. They would not stamp your passport as long as you have this card. You can buy the visa card in Jamaica through the Airline or travel agencies that provide service to Cuba.

My visit to "Fi Wi Sinting" - Somerset Falls in Portland, Jamaica
On Sunday April 15, 2008 I travelled with a friend to Somerset Falls in Portland, Jamaica to attend the Fi Wi Sinting event. I heard about this festival when Pauline Petinaud (aka Sista P) was being interviewed on Junior Jawara Blake’s 93.5 wvip radio program.
