The Best Vacation I've Ever Had
Published Dec 30, 2008I enjoyed myself in Jamaica. It was the best vacation I've ever had & I've been on many vacations, but Jamaica is truly one of my best. In 2006 I was planning to go to vacation in Jamaica...looked to where I wanted to go... Then a miracle happened... I won a trip to anywhere in the world on a locale radio station (KTWV the Wave in Los Angeles) and the stage was set. We left and had the experience of a lifetime... Jamaica is so beautiful, green & lush. The beaches, the mountains, the people and so much more. We went to Negril, stayed at Sandals, took tours of Ocho Rios, the Falls, Montego Bay and when into town (Negril) on several occasions. It was a vacation fantastic and I wanting to return as soon as I am able.

Jamaica Trip Report: Day 4 & 5 – Blue House, Beach, Knutsford Express Shuttle, Election day, Doctor Caves Beach Hotel Today was our last day at the Blue House and we had only one mission; to get to the beach. It was also Election Day in Jamaica. Breakfast at The Blue House was good as usual. First there were fruits, banana, pineapple and water melon. Then there was freshly squeezed orange juice at the table. Next came the cassava pancakes with an almond & banana syrup.
Jamaica Trip Report: Day 3 – The Blue House, Mystic Mountain We were up in time for the 9:00 am breakfast at The Blue House. Breakfast consisted of Ackee & Saltfish, Fried Breadfruit, toasted hardo bread, pak choy and freshly squeezed orange juice. Coffee and tea was available in the dining area. We had breakfast close to the balcony where there were 2 bird feeders parallel to each other. Humming Birds (Doctor birds) were going back and forth from the trees to the feeder. I kept trying to get a good picture of the birds.
Jamaica Trip Report: Day 2 – Emerson Paradise Villas, Meeting Family, The Blue House I woke up at 7:00 am and walked outside to see the sunrise. It was a great quiet time as I watched the sunrise with a cool breeze from the sea behind me. Milton and Patricia brought breakfast to the villa at 9:30 am. It was nice breakfast of steamed cabbage with carrots, pick-up saltfish, boiled white & yellow yam and boiled green banana. We had Blue Mountain coffee and fruit juices.
Jamaica Trip Report - Road Trip To Negril To say that the last 2 weeks have been stressful is an understatement. So, not one to wallow in unhappiness and stress and strain, I hastily planned a weekend doing some of the things I enjoy best! The yells of joy when I informed Little Master and Miss World confirmed that I had made the right decision. ROAD TRIP! Yep, I absolutely love a good drive out, and the state of our roads notwithstanding, the Jamaican countryside is soooooo beautiful. I decided to head west to my all time favourite place on the island: Negril.
Jamaica Trip Report: Day 1 – Montego Bay, The Fish Hut, Emerson Paradise Villas After a hectic second-half of the year it was time for a vacation. I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service provided to us by the Air Jamaica/Caribbean Airlines representatives who greeted us at the ticket counter, at the gate and on the plane. The pleasant greeting may also be because it was the Christmas Season. The flight left on time and arrived into Montego Bay early.
